Hi, im using an ikea valhorn and the lux just isnt adding up. I currently have it sitting under a 36w grow light and its reading 170lx whereas various phone apps are reading 1500+lx.
Various plant reddit recommended using the apps to verify lux level but I was hoping to automate my blinds to lamp for ambient level.
The level seems very off under a 36w grow lamp. I would expect that to be putting it some juice.

Fairly typical of the data I get from mind. No idea why it flatlined. It is not under any lights, just high up in my kitchen facing the windows. I’d say your 170 figure is just the upper range. You’re prob best off ignoring the absolute number and just setting a threshold in your automation.

i found them kind of junk for light level, have 2 in one room that read wildly different even sat side by side the blue line is an Aqara T1 in the same room which also seems pretty poor
