Hello iam trying to use Sundtek skytv ultimate 8 on HAOS i install the drivers but i get an error.
i installed the driver with
wget http://sundtek.de/media/sundtek_netinst.sh
chmod 777 sundtek_netinst.sh
./sundtek_netinst.sh
but i get this error
Error relocating /opt/bin/mediaclient: __poll: symbol not found
is there a fix for this?
i cant recall if i opened a thread about this before

chances are that the script wont work on HAOS (haos is "just enough" OS to run home assistant amd not a typical distro)

the haos host system terminal doesnt even have wget
although i think it has wcurl
also if you made changes then you would likely loose them on OS updates.
tbh i think the realistic answer to what your asking is probably "no"... you might be able to find a way but you would likely have ongoing problems. you probably want to look at a different direction to do whatever it is your trying to do with it

oh i installed the terminal ssh addon and run the command on core ssh and it installed.
let me restart it and see if i can see the device on tvheadend
i restarted but i cant seem to see the device on tvheadend
oh let me unplug and plug back in

can try repluging it and check dmesg to see what the kernel is doing with it when its plugged in that might give you a hint

Thank you for the help the issue it recognizes the USB but does not create the dev/DVB folder. I was trying to create an addon but at this time the addon doesn't show as local addon. So iam having trouble with testing it again, previously the addon was showing. Spent all night with this. I must try another route like VM or docker. The problem with docker is remote access setup. I appreciate your help.

having a "normal" distro which you can put the drivers on and running container install of home assistant and also tvheadend container using the usb device. is probably the way to go with an older device.
if you have the overhead resouces then you could use proxmox and run HAOS alongside another OS. but you mentioned it was a very old nuc so i am guessing that might not be an option.
