The Home Assistant Cloud config page in Home Assistant shows Cloud connection status: Connected but under Remote access, it says Your certificate is loaded, waiting for validation.

The account.nabucasa.com page says Status: Not connected, and I can't access my server from my nabu.casa URL.

Unsure if related, but this started when I updated to 2025.8.0.

Most likely you have defined a custom domain in the past that now has an invalid or missing DNS record.

looks like removing an alias I had configured on the nabucasa side fixed it. not sure why the alias isn't working anymore, but I'll look into that separately. thanks @vale depot !

if this was through Cloudflare, the proxy option should be disabled for both CNAME entries

it was, in fact, through cloudflare! i'll check that option.

i did not have the _acme-challenge cname configured though

is that a new addition?

adding the _acme-challenge cname allowed me to turn it back on and all is working now 🙂
