Any advice on some affordable Android-based tablets that will handle the modern UI?
We moved last year and before we moved I had:
3x 2/3rd gen iPads (via Appdaemon)
2x Tesco Hudls (again via Appdaemon)
2x Amazon Kindle Fire HD 10 7th Gen Tablet (which I was supposed to set up with FullyKiosk but never got round to)
I've recently got the Amazon FireHD's out and tried them on the UI, but they are painfully slow.,
Ideally I would like to move away from Appdaemon and just have everything handled with HA, it would also mean being able to create automations from NodeRed too.
Thanks in advance.

Hi, I have that in the radar too and I'll try with some cheap 12' Android tablet. I've seen some by about 120€ in Amazon in Spain
I thought about the Android route, but I dont need to control the bathroom lights from the living room. I'd want each panel to only display/control the local devices (speaker(s), lights, ceiling fan,). so I have a RP zeroW in each room with volumio image, now I want to write a LVGL app to display controls for the local devices. Hoping the app can call HA api's to control the devices?
