Title says it all. I found one brand so far that has one of these switches (embrightened), but I would like some more things to choose from that people vetted and that work well.

The first one is going to replace a dimmer switch I have in my kitchen, and if it works well enough, I'm going to use it for a light I have in my hallway.

You want to have the switch integrated, you don't care of having different look for the device you are looking for? I tested din rail zb dimmer (needs other zb push button to work). Also tested dimmer to put behind your normal switch in the wall. All from Aliexpress.

I was looking for an integrated dimmer switch, like the inovelli Blue. I might be able to squeeze something into the box behind the switch, but that's a last ditch thing for me. My house does have a neutral, so I don't have to worry about that. I also don't have any three way switches in the house

OK so there are plenty on aliexpress for 10€ that just work and are more design

And I assume I can flash firmware to them, correct?

Heuu no it is an end device product. Why do you want to flash it? It works zigbee out of the box

Because, based on what I could find, the embrightened and inovelli switches have the ability to be flashed, and they are also in wall dimmer switches. From what I've been able to find on AliExpress, they are either not for US style electrical boxes, or they are only switches.

The lights I'm trying to fit these dimmers on are not smart lights. One is a dimmable 3'x18" LED panel light, and the other is a dimmable canless recessed light. I have no attic access, and I would like to not have to pry these lights out of my ceiling unless absolutely necessary. So I'm stuck with whatever I can shove into my electrical boxes in my walls.

The plan is to slowly retrofit the entire house with regular Zigbee switches at some point, but these two have to be dimmable so I can set the brightness at night as hallway lights so they don't blind my family.

If I have to, I'll look into getting normal Zigbee switches and adding a dimmer module behind it, but like I said before, I don't have a lot of room behind my switches in the boxes for things.

OK, but why would you flash it? Is non sense it works point. Whether you go with what you have with push-button or normal switch or with behind your normal switch à small zigbee dimmer with switch input it will give you same result if it is on/ off. Indeed if you want dimmer you need to replace your switch mechanism to push button.

I have got a couple dimmers from Sinopé and they are good! They need a neutral but seem nice quality and work perfectly with HA

they come and go, i’m not sure if they make a ton. but i have seen them come back in stock before, so i think it’s still an active product
