#Is N150 Mini PC sufficient to run a local voice assistant in HA?

I'm considering purchasing a MINIX Z150-0dB or a Beelink MINI-S13 to host Home Assistant.

But I want to ensure that Home Assistant Voice Preview satellite responds quickly to voice commands, and I'm not sure if N150 is sufficient for that.

Currently, I'm running voice entirely in the cloud with a Raspberry Pi using 11labs voice, and there is quite a delay with replies.

my home assistant runs on a EQ14, i recently added an S13 to my rack to use as a router and to run some other network services. and my dad uses a S12 as a basic desktop.

haven't had an issue with any of them

Thanks, sounds great. It's not very noisy, right?

Great, I'm getting a beelink then. The price difference is substantial. Thank you!

Which language do you want to speak to it?

Personally I find using the assistant without some kind of LLM to be pretty frustrating.

It's English for me

I love how 11labs + OpenAI replies now with my setup, but the lag drives me crazy.
So at least for the local HA actions it would be great to run the whole thing locally.

To run a local LLM you kinda need a dedicated GPU. The N1x0 can do voice (STT & TTS) though.
I'm asking because if you use non-english you likely need a better model (I use whisper's large-v2 for example) and that will take a lot more resources.
I haven't tried what michael linked above though.
Also look into used (U)SFF PCs on eBay:

Just so you have some comparisons. This is my fanless N100 Mini PC I use as a firewall

This is my Ryzen 7730U based Mini PC

I also have a M710q but I don't have stats for it. It's pretty similar though.
