hello everyone! so i moved HA from hyper-v to truenas scale aplication.. 1st thing alot of stuff is missing but fine all i need is the history of sensors..

so i created backup of influxdb on the first server and wanted to uplad it on the second server and HA crashes every time after some time. backup is almost 5gb. is there any other way to get all sensor history to the new server.

i wanted to set up "samba share" but there is no "Add-ons".. wanted to add network backup location but i cant cant.....

Thanks in advance for any help. Have a nice day.

I'd rather help you with the crash than a workaround. What happens exactly?

#

HA just restarts while uploading backup from other server

#

it works but i want to move from hyper-v to truenas scale

#

other stuff it worked but influxdb didnt

#

it starts uploading but then after 1gb or maybe more HA restarts/crashes

Can you check ha core logs -vf while uploading?
It's recommended to upload it via other means if it's > 1G. For example via SAMBA or SFTP.

i am not sure how to do it in truenas scale apps

#

i did want to install samba but it is not HAOS

#

and doesnt have addons

Ah. I just assumed you use HAOS. Use docker logs -tf containerhere or the log viewer of TrueNAS to follow logs.

#

To upload the backup you can just upload it to the source path of the /config mount. I can't help with TrueNAS specifics.

oh okay i think i found it

waited till it "crashed"

Note that you can install HAOS as a VM on TrueNAS. There you have addons.

knotty ibex
#

now that im looking at this log it is possible it is not even istalled?

#

(influx)

digital briar
#

The docker variant of HA does not support addons so unless you installed it yourself then no.

knotty ibex
#

oh my.. then this must be the problem.. i restored the backup and there is influx in integrations but it is not actualy installed

digital briar
#

HA core does support integrations but the influx integration has to speak to a influx server.

knotty ibex
#

i guess i will need to figure it out how to install VM on truenas

digital briar
#

But yeah that would be my recommendation so you have the same features. I use Proxmox VE myself to virtualize.

knotty ibex
#

yes this is what i want to do but i need to put it on nas till i set everything up and it is "stable"

#

becouse... lights and stuff 😄

#

also dont want to loose any history of temps
