#Shelly different Generations - work together?

Hello, i am completely new to HA and get stuck.

I have different type of shelly devices placed in my house.

The Problem:
There are newer generations, and older ones.

I can get the Gen1 Devices working with "Shelly Smart Home" Plugin .... especially i have the old Shelly 4 Pro Devices, which are limited to Firmware around 1.6.

I can not get all Devices working with Home Assistant at the same Time.

What i have done:

  1. After fresh install, all newer Shellys would be found

  2. After recognising, the old devices are missing, i found the solution with Shelly Smart Home integration. It seems it replaces the builtin component - no more discovery of the new Shellys, but found the old ones

  3. Configures all older Devices - working fine so far

  4. Now i am on the point, that i need the newer Generations setup - but it seems there´s a conflict. I have Shelly 2 PM for some RollerShutters - it will not be recognised as Roller - instead i have only 2 Sensor entities which doesn´t do the job here.

Can anyone please point me in the right direction to get all generations of shelly devices working together at the same time with Home Assistant?

i have shelly devices from gen 1/2/3 and they all work without issue with the core integration. you should not need to replace it with a custom one. if your refering to "ShellyForHASS" then that has not been in active development for over 2 years at this point so is outdated.

switching back to the core integration and working out what the problem with some of the devices are. theres a good chance its firmware version though. access the shelly devices webui and search for updates.

Hello Micheal, it sounds, i should give it a try .... the problem here is, Shelly 4 Pro has no possibility to update the firmware newer to 1.6 - is there another possibility to get these things up and running too? i have 5 or 6 of the Shelly 4 pro Devices, so that it has a major impact on my home if they not work anymore...
