Hi Folks - I’m using HA with the Octopus Energy integration and an Octopus Home Mini.
I want to work out if there’s a way I can see between two dates how much energy was exported to the grid.
Alternatively, I know how much solar I generated between those two dates so if I can see how much was consumed, I assume I can subtract one number away from the other to come up with the total.
The reason for asking is I’m trying to identify what percentage of energy generated is being exported back to the grid. I’m currently on the UK FIT deemed export tariff where I’m paid for the assumed 50% of the energy generated they think is exported. We are a low consumption household with 3.5kW panels so I suspect we’re exporting more than 50% and therefore there’s a better deal to be done switching off the deemed export tariff to one that measures actual exports but I’d like the maths to back that up from the data I suspect HA is logging.
