#Active cooler

I recently picked up a Raspberry Pi 5 to run Home Assistant OS, and I also got the active cooler and the NVMe module. I was on the hunt for a way to control or monitor the fan directly through Home Assistant, but I didn’t come across anything particularly helpful just a few mentions about tweaking the config.txt file to adjust fan speed and set temperature thresholds. Unfortunately, I didn’t find any solid methods to integrate or display the fan status or control it within Home Assistant itself.

Hi, I have a controlled fan in a RPi4 with some integrations
Later I can tell you what is, just in case is valid for a Raspberry Pi 5

So, I know this isn’t what you asked, but I’d be reluctant to put Home Assistant in charge of managing the device cooler. An active cooler should already adjust speeds based on operating temperature without having to put home assistant in the loop. Wouldn’t want the CPU to overheat because HA is down being upgraded.
