Is it possible to use VLC Telnet with Music Assistant? (VLC-Telnet addon/integration)

There’s a post on the community forum that says it’s possible but doesn’t provide any details:

I have HAOS running on a micro PC, and I installed the VLC addon so I can output TTS messages directly from my HA machine (which works fine).
Now, I want to link it to Music Assistant to also play music and radio, but I can’t find a way to get VLC to show up as a media player in Music Assistant.

If anyone has any idea how to get this working, please let me know.

Music Assistant with pc audio default

You can do that already. The built in VLC media player addon together with can make your HA server use the built-in audio and is compatible with MAss.

Have you added "Home Assistant MediaPlayers" to the Player Providers in Settings > Providers ? That should be all you need to do if the VLC Telnet player is already up and running in HA,

I have a HA voice PE already setup and working with MA. It's just the vlc telnet that does not show up. There is also not verry much info in the addon documentation... I assumed it just works but apparantely it doesn't.
