Hi there. I have a Home Assistant instance running fine on a Raspberry Pi 4 B+. I have several integrations running fine, the system is stable. I have Growatt solar inverters and I'm using Home Assistant to monitor production. So far, everything fine, except I have some downtime (sensors all become "unknown"). In particular, every system update triggers downtime, sometimes it also happens for no apparent reason. Until yesterday, I could resolve this by disabling the Gtowatt server integration, then fiddling around (restarting, or just waiting) the re-enabling and voilà! everything was back online.
Yesterday was different.
I updated to 2025.7.3, everything went unknown, I disabled, rebooted, enabled, nothing happened. Tried to disable devices (I have 3 : one datalogger and 2 inverters), waiting, rebooting again, still nothing.
In the end, I deleted the device, thinking a fresh install would be ok. I added the Growatt integration back, and could NOT login, the interface saying "unknown error" (very informative :-/)…
Anyone could help ? Please ? 😢
#Growatt integration issues getting serious since 2027.7.3

unfortunately growatt is a bit like the tuya of PV inverters, hence the price
without more information it is also difficult to help for us, I would say try contacting support or resetting the inverter completely
Inverter had no change and my guess is there is something remaining in the system that prevents correct login. The integration does not connect directly with my inverters or datalogger, it connects to Growatt Cloud (Grott connects directly to datalogger, but it's kind of difficult to setup…). I don't know where I can delete existing / remaining data for that integration and start over, though…
Yeah, cloud integrations are a nightmare. Growatt especially
Perhaps there is a local integration you could use
For my SolarEdge I use modbus, has been rock solid for years
The Growatt integration is terrible. The Grott add-on setup is difficult, but once you've completed it, everything works perfectly. Trust me, put 1-2 hours into the Grott add-on.
I’m really thinking about Grott, indeed. I saw 2 Github repos, though. Can’t really figure what’s what about versions. Do you have a starting point to show me ? Thanks anyway 😉
