Did 2025.7.2 update break anyone else's TTS? | Home Assistant | Page 1

I'm using Speaches-ai as my TTS and STT server and Whisper-Cloud and OpenAI TTS integrations to connect to HA. It's been working great the last six month. However after 2025.7.2 or possibly .1 update the TTS is not working if I'm sending it to any speaker. TTS in Assist works with the phone's or computer's speakers but tts.say does not in any of my Casting or AirPlay speakers. They work as before when using any other audio but not TTS anymore. tts.say just plays silence...

Anyone experiencing the same?

Tts.say for me at least doesn't show any eligible devices. Only assist_satellite.announce seems to see my stuff. Same setup as you.

chime TTS seems to work for me. I'll test the built in one next.

Just used developer actions to make piper speak on my Google home mini speaker and it worked fine.

You need to be using entities not devices tho.

Yeah i also had something selected wrong, just tried tts.say and working fine for me

I restarted entire docker network and ha and it seems to be fine now but that was also after the latest esp update..weird

Yeah, after a few weeks of tearing my hair out. it was DNS and Chromecast related. I guess a pihole blocklist changed. Sorted now. Thanks
