I'd love to see some examples (visual not code) of how people are handling multi room control on a dashboard for audio and video. I'm trying to figure out the easiest transistion for my family from Savant to HA. We only used Savant for A/V. I've started building a dashboard with pages for each room. This would mean user can slide from room to room and then control everything in that room. Selecting options on each page would then activate the correct activities i.e. turn the TV on, set the right input, activate the right speakers, etc. . I'm wondering how others are handling similar setups?

If you could post some screenshots of Savant and what your family is used to using, it probably wouldn't be too hard to replicate something similar.
You may have to rely on some scripts or scenes to help with some of the functionality.

Thanks. I think can handle the functionality of the switching things on, changing sources, etc.. I'm sure it'll take some trial and error though and I've already started. My main challenge is the room selection. There are a few different ways that allow selection of rooms. This is the method I tend to use. It shows a source list. You select a source type (or source) then it'll ask which one, and then show control. Alternately, if it can be distributed into multiple rooms, it asks for which rooms prior to showing the control. Without the Savant, I won't have video distribution, but I will have music in all rooms, so it makes more sense to select a room first, then select a source. If the source is music, then there should be a way to also select where to distribute it. I'm not liking a dashboard with multiple views that requires the user to slide over quite a bit. It's okay on a desktop and maybe a tablet, but not on mobile. I tried creating a helper drop down, but that createsd a unique entity that gets updated, so if I select Kitchen on my phone, it would switch everyones dashboard to use kitchen. Doing it that way, I would have to create a new dashboard and helper dropdown for every user/device so that they can all be controlling different rooms.

What might work is an area card. But I'm not sure how to get it more like this with the media sources at the bottom, or even scripts that I can set Icons/Names for in the card.

The Picture Glance card gets me close to this. But requires an additional click to activate the scene.
