Hi HA community, one of the best communities out there!
💕
I have been using other people’s ideas, guides, projects for a long time now so - t’s time to share something back!
This is a kind of shamless self-promotion, because I am really proud of this story and wanted to share it with you hoping for some discussion, questions, suggestions. Visit Github to check it out, I think the article itself is way too long to be posted here as is.
Long story short - it’s a journey of creating DIY ESPHome ESP32 based devices for use with HA, with 3D printed enclosures, automations, configuration, calibration, mistakes and iterations. Plus Dashboard Cards and a lot of feedback and thoughts on pricing, reliability, DIY vs of-the-shelf commercial products. It’s long, detailed and with a lot of photos, images and a short video. In files you’ll find configs, 3d printing STM files, etc.
