Hi all, I was setting up a new wall-mounted iPad with a custom dashboard, and had everything set up using the new Areas layout. Today was literally the day I was going to screw things to the wall and show it off to my family, who has been wanting a way to control devices without needing their phones, or for guests to do so.
This morning, I updated HA to a new version (I was a few versions behind, but not horrible behind) and the dashboard COMPLETELY changed (on all devices and via a web browser, so I know this is a server-side change). All the entities I had set up are still there, but instead of laying everything out so I could see them, now it just shows a list of rooms that has to be opened before you can adjust an individual device. The new layout is useless for my needs, the whole point of a dashboard is to show everything you NEED to see, ready to take action on key items with a single tap. Is there a way to get back to the old view, that I'm not seeing? Or do I need to bite the bullet and design something new from scratch?
I liked the idea of an autogenerated dashboard but if simple server updates are going to tank a painstaking design (which in this scenario should never change unless I explicitly want to change it), this isn't going to work out the way I hoped. 😦
