Commissioning Matter over Thread device with HA on air-gapped network | Home Assistant | Page 1

Hi, I'm trying to commission a Matter over Thread device with a newly setup HA OS instance running a Raspberry Pi 4 with a SkyConnect dongle.

I'm getting "Failed generating device credentials" when adding device via Matter integration and also seeing the following in my Home Assistant Android phone's logcat output among other warnings and errors:

W AccountSelector: No account could be resolved. [CONTEXT service_id=336 ]
E MatterCommissioner: Encountered credentials failure. [CONTEXT service_id=336 ]
E SetupDeviceViewModel: Commissioning failed with state Failure obtaining credentials. [CONTEXT service_id=336 ]

Version Information:

Home Assistant Android: 2025.6.6-full (downloaded from Google Play)
Android phone info:
- Android: 13
- Google Play Services: 25.24.31
- 'Google' App (not sure if relevant to GMS etc.): 16.25.46.ve.arm64
- No Google Account signed in & connected to 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi on same network as HA OS, Internet connectivity of Android phone & HA OS instance are completely blocked
