If you want it to be battery powered like that, you're going to have a hard time finding one that uses WiFi

Wi-Fi is a poor choice for battery stuff that needs to be up for months without a new battery, amongst other reasons. I’d recommend something like an IKEA STRYBAR (sp) on Zigbee.
