Hiya I'm just wondering if I can wire a Shelly Relay (not sure what model) inside a junction box for my outdoor automatic lights that have motion sensors.
The reason is because we have outdoor string lights but whenever we sit in the garden at night it also sets off the security light and it's really annoying, so I'd like to be able to disable it whenever the string lights are on. Many thanks.

most likely the answer is yes, however without seeing how its wired its hard to make an exact recommendation. if you are not sure then you should probably consult an electrictrician though

I wired it up a while ago it's just like a regular light fitting - i just wanted to see if the Shelly itself still works without terminating it to a switch as the circuit is always live. Ordered the cheaper Sonoff mini which still handles the load so will report back with results soon 🙂
