Hi, i'm looking for tips to know when a phone (android) is home.
My wife does not like to enable gps location on her phone, but i'd like to know if she's home to enable / disable the alarms and maybe lock/unlock the front door or other automations.
I saw that you can check the network's name that the phone is connected to, but it require gps to be enabled ?? (why tho ?)

I was maybe thinking about bluetooth based presence detection.
Is it reliable or even possible ?
Or maybe you could have another idea to check if she's home.

Location is required to get teh Wifi SSID as that can be used to determine a users location...bluetooth or your local router integration would be the best bet if you cant use the app
