Does anyone have recommendations for a cheap Zigbee controller for some CCT strips? I’ve been using some $20 ones but it seems like overkill for certain projects (like a short strip of lights in a closet)

I think if you’re looking to save on $20 you’d be sacrificing quality, assuming it’s even possible.

You could make one cheaper with an ESP32 (wifi) + WLED.

Also, if it was me, I wouldn’t bother with a network connected light in this case. There seems only a tiny advantage in the complexity of having a small networked computer to control the light in a closet. There’s loads of dumb strips with a PIR in them for very cheap. Just throwing that out there.
