i have been looking at some of shelly stuff, but wonder what community recommend.
Also looking for other stuff to add, very new to HA, but like to tinker so open for other stuff too.

shelly stuff is generally recommended. although it depends if you have any specific requirements and potentially also which country you are in

For the power monitoring I like the Frient power monitors that hook onto a meters LED flash, usually at every WattHour.
The rest requires a lot more information. For instance that power meter needs a working Zigbee network. Do you have one? Are you happy to set one up? I’d suggest you do, as WiFi is generally a poor choice for large complicated iot setups.
