#Home Assistant Cloud Unable to create a Certificate

I haven't updated to 2025.7 yet, but after a standard restart today I got this persistent notification which will not go away. Checking the logs, I see no reference to this error.

When I connect to my system through nabucasa, I get a "this site can't be reached as URL unexpectedly close the connection".

Anyone know how to resolve this?

Hopefully in the next release this should be happening less. But for now use the 3 dots in the upper right corner of the Home Assistant Cloud page and then choose "Reset cloud data"

This will clear the existing certificate and reset the cloud integration. Then restart HA and sign in again on that page when startup is complete. HA will then request and download new certificate files, which can take a minute or two.

See if that gets it created.

Ok I've replied with commands to try and will leave them here too
In the SSH Web terminal:

  • ha su repair
  • ha core rebuild
  • ha host reboot

persistent notifications?

Ah, sorry. Was confused. Yes those notifications are what we want to see change. What are you seeing on the Home Assistant Cloud page in HA settings?

right, those notifications saying it doesn't have a certificate have disappeared after those commands, however, the issue of being able to use the nabu casa link is still happening.

I point this out too often so I don't think it's obvious enough. 😅
