I would like to split the history of a device. Say I move a thermometer from my shed to my basement, and I'd like it to stop recording to the "shed temperature" history and start recording to the "basement temperature" history.
I figure there is a way to do this by piping the data through a helper, but only if I'd done that from the start. Which I haven't.
