I'm trying to setup a system that will tell me in which room a user is (or their phone, assuming that's the BT client in question). I've found a relatively inexpensive gateway here.
My question is, if I set one up in each room, how would I go about fetching the RSSI data from the gateways? Is that manufacturer specific? Also, how easy is it to turn a bunch of BLE gateways into a mesh network such that all the nodes act as a single device?
The answer doesn't necessarily have to be specific to HA but I figured y'all would be the best starting place for finding the solution.
