I bought this lamp a few weeks ago (it was a fraction of the current price) and while I loved it, there was no dimming option or white tuning. I'm sure I could have installed something like a shelly, but that wouldn't have solved the latter problem.
The plan was to swap out the internals with an RGB CCT strip but considering I was working with about 5mm of strip width, I had to settle for a CCT one. I can live with this considering it gives me the option to color-match the handful of Hue bulbs in the living room.
I've never made a video before, but figured I'd share my process with those who have helped me so much. Thanks
I have no experience editing, but I wanted to briefly share how I rewired a "traditional" lamp in order to integrate it into Home Assistant. The hardware side of the process was quite the challenge, but I hope this video sparks curiosity to reframe how you see everyday objects—and what they’re capable of with a little creativity.
