#Smartify existing (German) light switches, ideally Matter-over-Thread; Matter-over-Thread bulbs

**The goal: **

I have 3 lights in my Bedroom: 1x e27 ceiling light, 2x e14 nightstand lights.

I want to make the existing light switches in the room smart, and make them turn on all the lights, brightness depending on time of day.

I might also add battery powered tread / zigbee switches to the nightstands with more buttons, to only turn on one / both nightstand lights.

I have mostly matter-over-thread devices from eve right now, and that works well for me, so i'd like more MoT if possible.

I do have zigbee available too, if that is not an option.

What I want to buy:

I basically want something like https://sonoff.tech/en-de/products/sonoff-mini-extreme-wi-fi-smart-switch-matter-enabled, but I'd prefer it to use Thread instead of WIFI.

Does this exist?

As for lights: I like the aquara T2, but they don't come in E14 size. In E14 I only find Wifi bulbs, nothing with thread.

I'm thinking of just going with ikea (zigbee) bulbs everywhere...

It looks like there are a few matter-over-thread relays available, e.g. https://www.sunricher.com/matter-thread-relay-modules-sr-mt9101sac-hp-switch-b.html or https://inels-wireless.com/shop/matter-en/switch-unit-with-inputs-for-external-buttons-matter-rfsai-62b-sl-mt/ but I have no idea if either is available in germany, or whether they support a decoupled mode for use with smart bulbs

Inels Wireless

Output contacts: 2x switching 8A /AC1 Supply voltage (frequency): AC 230 V (50-60 Hz) Design: BOX + screwless terminals Dimensions: 43 x 44 x 22 mm Application protocol: Matter Communication protocol: THREAD

IKEA sells ZigBee remotes that works for on/off/up/down

#

You can buy it in Spain also in a pack with a ZigBee smart plug for 10€

#

The plug also works as a ZigBee repeater. And once integrated in HA, it's transparent the underlying tech, no "matter" what (pun intended 😂 )

Right, but I want to turn my exising wall switches into smart switches. No batteries etc.

#

I'm sort of allergic to battery powered tech, especially for things that stay in fixed places.

As for the switches with more buttons, I will probably buy two of these tho:
