Installed ZWave JS UI when it was necessary for 800LR devices. Now would like to remove the complexity as I dont use it. How is this done correctly without losing existing entities?

Easier to just keep it. You don't even have to use the UI if you don't want. Same thing.

ZUI still has Association Groups and troubleshooting tools (e.g. Network map and friends) which HA lacks.
