Has anyone here wired up an alarm system themselves?
I'm about to pull the trigger on an UNO alarm board kit, which I plan to integrate into Home Assistant. I'm no stranger to wiring and what not...just wondering if there is anything I need to know first
My house is pre-wired for the keypads and sensors...in fact, I'll have to double check, but if memory serves, I think the electricians just used CAT6 for all the security wiring
Honestly, the only part I'm kind of unsure about is installing the wired door contacts (i.e. drilling a hole in the top of my expensive front door, lol)
