Hey,

i tried to get Bluetooth for my Yellow, I already have Zigbee (onboard from Yellow) and Thread (ZBT-1). My Bluetooth and my Thread-Stick are not directly in the USB port, Iam use and extension cable.

So, I tried a Bluetooth stick that I already had: https://www.amazon.de/dp/B07NQ5YGDW
The signal was **pretty **weak... Working, but I wanted to improve it.

So I bought this: https://www.amazon.de/dp/B0D1VG46NV (150M long distance Bluetooth Adapter)
=> But the signal is still weak, better, but meh...
==> A Temperature Meter in the same room(!) has RSSI -86, the stick before was -96... So just a slight improvement and thats just for a device in the same room...

So: Do I have to "configure" something?! Get drivers or something?!
The Yellow directly mentioned the new device and I just added it.

For my first Use Case with 2 SwitchBot Temperature and Humidity Meters its fine like this, but Iam not sure if I should keep the new adapter.

I read about "Bluetooth Proxies", but I would really like a simple version around my Yellow - not having to much Hubs, Proxies, Routers, Repeaters and so on on my 120 qm... ^^

Range depends mostly on interference and transmision output power of both devices. Simply buying a higher output antenna won't make a difference as those devices need to talk to each other in both directions

#

Also Bluetooth is made for anything but high range in general

Urghs, ok... So probably not a really good buy, but it helped at least a little bit...
So Bluetooth Proxy is the only chance, if I want to improve it, yeah? :/
