I want to install some Zigbee devices in my detached garage/workshop, which is connected to my Wi-Fi network via a wireless repeater, so it's on the same network but with a different SSID. I have HA running on a Raspberry Pi 5 in my house that currently connects to IP devices in the garage. I have an old Pi 3 that I'm not using, and a new Sonoff Zigbee 3.0 USB dongle, which I would like to use as a Zigbee hub. How would I go about this configuration, and what apps would I need?

There are repeaters / mesh solutions that use the same network / SSID. But if the repeater can port forward or something, maybe it's possible.
But wireless repeaters / mesh in general just suck....
I have cable to run there, just need to get it to the middle of my house where the router is, but it does work. The gotcha is you have to set it all up in the workshop, on that SSID, and get the MAC address and IP on that SSID to have the info to set up the static IP.
so you have a cable and a repeater? You've lost me..
