I've recently changed phones (iPhone) , migrating all of my data from one phone to another. I needed to dual-run both phones for a couple of days while whist I got all my apps working on the new phone. During this time HA informed me that I had duplicate devices so I renamed the new phone in HA (I can't remember the exact message now). I no longer have the old phone.
I now periodically receive system messages about broken automations that contain notifications destined for my phone. The messages state that I have a notification with a destination to an unknown device. The notification are as follows:
- if notification destination in automation is old phone, they are sutomatically changed to my new phone (the old phone is missing from selections options).
- if notification destination in automation is new phone, thay are automatically corrected to my old phone (the new phone is missing from selections options).
The same automations error messages cause the notification destinations to flip-flop between the two phones.
It would appear that the old phone name and the new phone name alternatively appear in the tracker list.
Why would this happen and how can I stop it?
Could it be caused by them somehow sharing a device ID?
