New to HA, but looking to run it off a HP 22-c0073w All-in-One PC that I got off FB marketplace for $100. Prob going to upgrade the RAM (currently 4GB), but other than that, is this sufficient to run HA for a moderately sized household of 5?

Strange choice but yeah that should do hardware wise.

Looking at the general specs for that, the default Celeron G4900T CPU is hardly going to set the world on fire but it should do the trick.

The also-default 1TB mechanical drive might be a the biggest downer, a cheap SATA SSD would definitely be a worthwhile upgrade (something in the 250/256GB kinda class would be absolutely massive)

Upgrading to 8GB of RAM isn't a terrible plan though, and would certainly help if you're keeping the default HDD.

The one thing I would perhaps note is if you're intending HAOS, there's a moderate chance it may never turn the display off when idle (being a console-based OS, things like display power management really don't factor in).

Acknowledge, it was cheap on FB so I went for it lol. $80 so 🤷‍♂️.

Yeah the HDD is a good point, I’m cleaning it right now to see how quick it is once clean.
The display is a problem I hadn’t even thought of. Perplexity recommends some cmd line options to fix it, but i may also be able to power off the display with a quick touch of the power button. Thanks for that though!

Plus I don’t think the hardware is sufficient to run HA as a VM with windows still installed
