Desperately need camera’s fast

People, i need help!! My wife is admitted to the hospital with acute leukaemia, and has to stay in the hospital for a long time, i want to expedite my plan to put camera’s around the house so she can tune in from the hospital and stay connected, see us at home in the pool and see the horses in the pasture.

I’m not in the position to do a lot of research and a lot of tinkering.

So is there something i can buy and have record and integrate to home assistant or some other service for her to stream from the hospital??

I have homeassistant running for a lot of things arround the house. We have nabu casa for the remote access.

Later i want to do stuff with ai recognition facial recognition and ai notifications from events so would be nice if the cams i buy now support that.

Anyone here that can help a desperate husband who’s life turned upside down in the last week??

hi there, sorry to hear about your wife.

In terms of camera's I recommend Reolink.
solid home assistant integration and work well with frigate.

there is a confirmed compatibility list on the integration documentation others may work too but are not confirmed (the battery/solar ones should be avoided)
I do definitely recommend keeping to the confirmed tested list. specially when you want to do things quickly and without issue.

Checked their site. Do you know if for example we can use their cloud now for streaming and controlling a ptz camera, and migrate to frigate/homeassistant later on, when i have time and energy to do so?

yes, i beleive so. the reolink cloud stuff is optional and i dont really use it but i beleive it should work just fine.

Thanks! Cam prices are not to bad. Will look into to it and probably order a few. First see if i get it working quick in home assistant and if not do the cloud thing and figure out the rest next year.
