#How does HA handle lights with multiple zones (like the Philips Hue Gradient Signe Table)

Anyone? 🙂
I don’t know but you can import scenes if you use Philips hue hub. Or you can search for wled and make your own light eg with 3d printer
I do not use the Hue Hub
I was kinda hoping that the light would expose multiple lights in the device as entities (I do not know yet, since I have not bought the light yet)
I don’t think so. It isn’t with the Hue Play.
But the Hue play doesn't have multiple zones within the light itself to change. The Hue Signe has 3 zones within the light that can be changed independently. It's a nice to have tbh.
That's just a UI feature that hue offers.
HA does not have that feature.
I see
So the three light zones will be just 1 light entity with no seperate control
(Which is fine)
Yes
That may be different if you use the hue integration, but it requires a hue hub
Next time you buy a 4 pack of bulbs, just buy the startup kit. It's the same price
it also goes on sale quite frequently
I haven't needed it, but I might for this light if I wanted to control the 3 zones seperate
