Do I need whisper and piper add-ons anymore? | Home Assistant | Page 1

I'm using my Home Assistant Cloud subscription to do text to speech, speech to text, etc. Am I right in thinking I can do away with Whisper and Piper add-ons? I'd like to keep my system as clean as possible and not have to worry about add-on upgrades as they come about. For that matter, I also have openWakeWord add-on. These were all from several months ago when I was learning how to add voice etc to my system

yes you can.. Only need wakeword.

Don't need wakeword if using on-device one.
