Great job @wanton bone on the integration. It will be so much more reliable to have it as a core integration. I imagine that you will be bombarded with help requests initially but would you consider exposing the temperature sensor on the Echo Dot devices? The Alexa Media Player custom integration currently does this. I can provide the device diagnostics if that helps.

You are using email/sms OTP ?

# wanton bone You are using email/sms OTP ?

I tried using my main login, and tried to add user (preferred) to my account only for this purpose so that user wouldn't have any other acess except Alexa devices. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Your main login is protected by MFA ? If so which kind of OTP did you configure ?

I get an sms text

wanton bone

As stated in the documentation only OTP via Authenticator app are currently supported

I use that for AWS. My family won't go for that

#

Somehow when setting that up for AWS I ended up with 5 codes and two are duplicates. IMHO it's kludgey system that needs some refinement

I see, will try to add support for OTP via SMS/Mail but not sure it's really realiable nowadays

what's differ from getting an SMS ?

in short: my ability to be able to convince them to use it

dealing with real... "users" here which is the issue 😛
