I am not sure how you get an OTP without first attempting to login but that isnt an option. Am I lookin at this wrong?

I believe that you can only use an authenticator app at this time

Ah gotcha. Thats not gonna work for anyone with non-techy wives who refuse to have an extra step on anything like that. Hope this gets changed somehow.

it's just during the initial setup, right?

Will the authentication app cause there to be an extra step for someone to login to the regular Amazon app?

I think it's just used when you set that up, too

#

I've had OTP forever on my Amazon account and can just launch the Alexa app without doing anything

Thanks. Went ahead and tried it. I do have the integration working but it looks like the only thing I can do is toggle Do Not Disturb Mode on any of my echo devices. Is there a way to send announcments?

The docs gave an example

#

That's its primary purpose right now

Ok Yes I do see that. Just threw together an automation to my alexa to say something and it did not work for some reason. Oh well. I will just hold off until some bugs have been worked through and check back another time. Thanks for the help!

It's a new integration, so please file a bug if you find that it doesn't work for you. I know that the author has had to tweak it for different geos
