google built-in car (not android automtotive)

have a 25 chevy that has google built in, i've installed the HA app thru the play store and logged in with the account i created for my car but it seems very flaky. it doesn't always update to show anything other than 'navigation' and sometimes the 'cover' devices don't respond when touched (ratgdo controllers on my garage door openers).

if i go into android auto thru my phone it's more reliable but for some reason it's very slow to start up

sometimes your car may have a connection error when connecting to the server, you can tell when that happens by just seeing the navigation device. There is a refresh button you can push to try and reconnect to the server
