I've been looking for an ultrasonic senor to put on the lid of our laundry basket and realised there doesn't seem to be an off-the-shelf product for this, so I'm guessing I might have to build one myself. I guess this is where doing something with esphome comes in. What recommendations would you give me as an absolute newbie?
