What kind of device is it? And what mode are you in? And what is the yaml of the action you do?

I created thermostat from helper, temperature from a sensor, and switch for control. Created hardoced modes as in thermostat template. Now I want to save setpoint changed in ha thermostat UI to actual active mode. Now it changes to none.
I use automation to set home/sleep mode based on time. When I adjust temperature being in home mode I want it to save so next time the automation activate the mode it will set that changed temperature

No, i have thermostat, the template has modes under gauge for setting temperature, i want the set temperature to save to actual mode instead of changing to none
