Philips "Google TV" does not connect after pairing with "Android TV Remote" integration

I'm getting an error immediately after pairing with the 6 digit code, I tried both ipv6 and ipv4, with and without zerotier connected but it always fails after pairing. I also tried clearing the "Android TV Remote Service" cache and data, doesn't work either.

I have other Android TV devices (Mi Box 4) that connect correctly, it's only this one that's causing trouble. ADB integration works fine, so it doesn't seem to be a connectivity issue.

This was caused by the android tv remote service wetting its dippers if the TV is booted with a USB remote connected. Connecting the USB remote after HA connects to the TV seems to work so far. I'm honestly not surprised at android's inability to work in an environment that is not strictly the average use case.
