So I have been trying and nothing is working. I follwed all the below articles:

and others that basically say the same thing - I have no issue getting it into the Mysa App, HK sees it and so does HA but both fail to add it and timeout - i dont even know where to start looking

Got it! So you have to forget the device in the Mysa app; hold the Up/Down arrows on the LCD until the 10s countdown is done, it reboots and you get the down arrow to enter pairing mode. Now you add the device back into the Mysa app, hit CONFIRM despite it saying not to - it asks to join the wifi and you say OK, and then it shows up in HA as a new device you can add; you add it and put the 8 digit code in this format XXX-XX-XXX and it will link up
