Hello, I updated my energy pulse sensor today and accidentally scuffed some stats, upon looking this up I noticed you can adjust these bad moment in developer tools and statistics and using the ramp icon. This somewhat worked. However I can't seem to get it to apply over a larger timeframe? I need to fix these spikes shown in the screenshot.

I have some buttons to reset the total energy is there a way to send an action to the recorder or something to fix this?

There's nothing that will fix that, short of manual database editing.

#

The adjust tool is for fixing long term sums only, for like energy panel.

Dang okay

My SQL is a little rusty I thought I had done this right but it appears to not have taken effect

Could you help with my SQL query?

#

Ah I assume it takes a little bit for it to change in the energy dashboard its changed in the history log now

Statistics are not recreated after the state has changed

#

Why do you want to fix the state anyway? Energy dashboard doesn't use it

I added the sensor daily energy to my energy dashboard with a fixed price so I can track costs in that dashboard

#

I fixed it in the history log but it still has the spike in the energy dashboard

#

Oh nvm I think I fixed it there was one outlier left on that developer tool

#

However when I click the source on the energy dashboard it shows the old data if I click show more its the corrected data

#

Not sure how to correct that? The data for those States no longer exist in the database?

You dont have to correct that

# abstract burrow You dont have to correct that

I mean it was just purely bugging me because it wasn't neat, but I waited and it fixed itself like I assumed. At least now I know I can manually edit the SQL if need be in the future if I were to have the issue again. Thanks for those who chimed in for help.

I have a similar situation with one of my sensor spiking for no apparent reason and I wanted to adjust it using the developer statistic tool.

Today my energy Dashboard looked like this, some random spike overnight, but it was not a daily yield reset this time:

#

This is a victron solar charge controller that had its usual daily reset at around 1:10 AM at night:

#

I use a utility meter to wrap this into to not have a daily reset and therefore a lietime increasing template sensor for my energy dashboard.
And this utility meter had the sudden spike at around 4:15 AM this morning:
From 1.710 Wh to 300.480 Wh

#

Now I tried using the adjust to change the values of that utility meter, but it doesnt seem to have any effect. I even tried to force it to update by changing all the values around the 4:15 AM mark to 1Wh.
Even tried a full HomeAssistant Restart, but the spike still shows in the graphs, but not in the adjust tool of those time frames:

Anything come up if you click the outliers button?

At that point my best guess is that you've got the wrong entity selected in your dashboard or something.

If you'd like to debug further, suggest please open your own new post, include a pastebin/copy of your energy dashboard csv download, and maybe a history panel csv download for this entity for this day.
