#How to improve camera.snapshot resolution?

Created an automation to take snapshots from an rtsp stream. The camera has a 2K resolution, but the snapshots are 640x360px. The live feed looks as it's supposed to. How do I take snapshots at full resolution?

Can I define resolution in the automation somehow?

Tried searching for an answer on the HA Discourse forum, but that just showed me a lot of threads with the same problem without an answer. Tried searching here, but no mention of the problem at all, yet.

Hope you can help.

Thanks!

looks like you are taking snaps from the substream, witch has lower quality then the mainstream. Take a look in your cam settings and adopt the mainstream settings to HA

Thanks! I made a mistake in presenting the problem. When I said the live view was showing the correct quality, I forgot I was looking at the rtsp stream in VLC. The live feed in HAOS through the TP-Link Smart Home integration is low res.

Could it be a limitation of the TP-Link integration?

I set the cam up in Frigate as well. It does show the correct resolution there, but it's harder (for me) to do time lapses in Frigate.
