#Trying to integrate my APC UPS on an x86-64 computer

No matter what tutorial I follow, nothing works for me
"Nothing works" isn't very helpful, what have you all tried? What model is your UPS?
Are you going to plan on using APCUPSD?
I don't knot the exact model number but it's the APC UPS 1500VA that looks like this
I got as far as downloading the NUT addon and tried the integration but it's asking for an ip address I don't have
If you're talking about just setting up the integration, that would be the hostname of the add-on it's looking for, which is a0d7b954-nut.
I strongly recommend reading all of the documentation of the things you're installing
I tried that too but I just got
also the nut addon keeps shutting off
I fixed it
apparently you can't use a password that's been in the haveibeenpwned database
Now I need to figure out how to add the UPS to my energy screen
I don't know how to convert % load into watts
basically what I want to do now is to be able to put my UPS's power draw on the energy dashboard so I can have a total cost of power used
If you've already got the power sensor, you can use a integral helper to convert that: https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/integration/#energy
I was able to roughly calculate power from % load. how do I increase the polling rate for it? It's set to every 60 seconds but I don't see where I can change it. I tried making an automation to make it poll every 10 seconds but it's stuck at 60
I alrady did all of that but it's still only polling every 60 seconds
instead of polling every 10 seconds, it's polling every 10th second of every minute so 9:00:10, 9:01:10
that gives me an idea
this is cursed
