Advice for ip camera

Hi to all, i am looking for a wifi ip camera (bullet or dome) for use in HA. I dont want cloud, only local recording and detection, nightvision and livestream. There are so many cameras on the market, it's hard to choose.. Thanks

my go to recommendation is reolink, are good quality and can be fully local. there is a compatibility list on the integrations documentation

Update: never had a cam that was so easy to setup in App and HA. Does exactly what the specs say, excellent image quality and the AI triggers work superb. Thanks @weak tree for your advice!👍

Are there any cameras that can be setup using only HA? I kind of don’t trust any proprietary app to not have some spying on me.

Reolink cams have the option to go local vs cloud, but their HomeHub is required. The good news is the Hub allows all Reolink battery cams to work with HA. From my experience, Integrating battery powered cams has been an issue across multiple platforms and not HA specific.

setup password for reolink cam once in reolink phone app or browser, add password and add to home assistant using the reolink integration. No cloud and complete settings dashboard for your cam in HA

No hub required..
