#Whats the generally considered best video doorbell these days?

I'm also looking for recommendations.
so far, reolink POE seems like an decent option and they're fairly cheap
i have battery powered eufy doorbell (no option to hardwire it) and without continious power it's pretty bad
I use reolink wifi - and its fine... However you have to bridge yoru existing doorbell ringer if you have one and use a plugin ringer thing
could you elaborate about the bridge?
Like you physically have to connect a wire and bridge to connectors in the doorbell chime
I love my real link, but just be aware you can’t use the existing in-house chime wiring
ah, i see. i'm going for POE version, so dont have to deal with that. i haven't seen existing wires for the chime anyway. guess they were ripped out a while ago.
banging my head against the wall trying to figure out how to route the lan cable to it atm. looked simple enough in my head, but getting through the floor neatly is way harder than i expected
I bought my Reolink Poe Dec 2023. I have been experiencing connection issues for the last few months. It started acting up even before I spent over 2000$ on all new UniFi network equipment and when I had it all setup I figured it could potentially fix or improve the problem. Fat chance. Still shit. So anyhow, I wouldn’t recommend going “cheap” because I did that and now I’ll be forking over 600$ to UniFi for one of their doorbells. Sometimes it, scratch that, it always hurts to spend a large chunk of money on a device, but if I’d done my homework about longevity of Reolink devices, I potentially could have avoided what I’m now going through. Anyhow food for thought…. Mmm now I’m hungry
My reolink is wifi, only problem ive had is i think of my own doing. I get no package alerts at all even though its enabled so i think i have the wrong firmware for it.
Reolink is god aweful with firmware info when it comes to the doorbells
I ditched my Ring Elite POE doorbell a while back for the Unifi G4 POE doorbell and am loving it. Granted you need something to be the Unifi Protect server -- I use a cloudkey+ I found on ebay. The HA integration is stellar. There is a wifi version of the doorbell too.
