I'm looking for help or advice as I'm at my wit's end. I have a coral.ai usb accelerator which is working great. I ordered a second one to setup a new frigate server for my parents but I could not get it to work. When I plug it in, no light comes on, i run sudo dmsg -w and nothing shows up when its plugged in nor unplugged. lsusb also shows nothing when it is plugged in.
Thinking I was missing something, i took my device off my server and plugged it into the new one I'm building and voila, it worked - no tricks or anything necessary, just plug n play.
At this time, I decided my device (ordered on Amazon from seeedstudio) was DOA/Defective. I ordered a replacement and lo and behold, same behavior! Again tested against my known working to not be the USB cable or anything else, even tried in multiple computers just in case. Dead.
Finally, I ordered a 3rd...yep, you guessed it, same behavior.
So what are the odds I got 3 DOA usb accelerators? What are the odds I'm doing something wrong, or that plugging them into this brand new device is somehow frying them immediately, even though it doesnt do that to my old known-working device?
Anyone have ideas, tips or advice; or at least some consolences for such an aggrevating experience 😛 ?
