I've followed the instructions many times with the same results. The thermostat gets added and I can change it from Cool to Heat which registers in the actual Nest App, but doesn't display the correct mode in HA. And the temp in HA doesn't update either. Any ideas?

I get this error too if I change the temp: Failed to perform the action climate/set_temperature. Error setting climate.living_room temperature to {'entity_id': ['climate.living_room'], 'temperature': 22.22222222222222}: Bad Request response from API (400): FAILED_PRECONDITION (400): sdm.devices.commands.ThermostatTemperatureSetpoint.SetHeat command not allowed in current thermostat mode.
